FIRE PROTECTION OF STEEL

Steel is a building material that is classified as non-combustible, but in case of fire, steel structures quickly lose their load-bearing capacity at high temperatures. We offer a variety of solutions to protect steel structures.

Intumescent Paints

The fire resistance of steel structures can be successfully enhanced by the use of special fire-resistant paints. The intumescent coating can be overpainted with topcoats to achieve an aesthetic appearance in desired colour.

Calcium Silicate Boards

In Scandinavia, innovative lightweight fire protection boards have been developed to increase the fire resistance of steel structures. The boards are easy to handle and have a wide range of applications due to their light weight and good fire resistance. Boards meet the highest environmental, health and safety standards and comply with EU requirements. Caltsium Silicate Boards provide the structures with the fire resistance classification of R30 to R240.

Fire Protection Wool

Stone wool has been a very common fireproofing material for many years and it is also suitable for increasing the fire resistance of steel structures. You can choose between different wool board thicknesses to achieve the required fire resistance time.

Spray-Applied Fire-Resistant Plasters

Spray-applied fire-resistant plasters are inexpensive solutions for achieving good fire resistance of large surfaces. With fire-resistant plasters, you can increase the fire resistance of metal, wood and concrete surfaces. Unlike conventional spray-applied plasters, the fire-resistant plasters are lightweight and do not add significant extra load to the constructions.

FIRE PROTECTION OF WOOD

Wood is a combustible material, but it is still possible to improve its fire resistance and reaction to fire properties by using different materials.

Fire Protection Paints and Varnishes for Wood

We offer a variety of fire protection paints and varnishes to improve the reaction to fire properties of wood surfaces. Fire protection paints are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Fire protection paints can be tinted as a rule. Fire protection varnishes are usually transparent and allow to maintain the natural colour of wood.

Spray-Applied Fire-Resistant Plasters

Spray-applied fire-resistant plaster is an inexpensive solution for achieving good fire resistance of large surfaces.

With a fire-resistant plaster you can increase the fire resistance of metal, wood and concrete surfaces. Fire-resistant plasters are suitable for increasing the fire resistance of different building materials up to classes R240 or REI 180.

PENETRATION SEALS

We are official representatives many fire protection products in the Baltic States and Finland. We provide our customers with consultation and training, if necessary.

Fire Protection Collars

Fire Protection Collars are designed to maintain the fire resistance of fire rated walls and floors where these are breached by plastic pipes. A graphite based reactive material used in the collar reacts when exposed to heat and expands, closing the openings left by the softening plastic pipe in fire.

Fire Protection Wraps

Fire Protection Pipe Wrap is designed to maintain the fire resistance of fire separating walls and floors when these are breached by plastic pipes or metal pipes with combustible insulation. Pipe wraps are available in fixed sizes or in rolls.

Fire-Resistants Mortars

Fire-resistant mortar is a very versatile and widely used fireproof material. Mortars can be used to reinstate the fire resistance of fire rated walls and floors. Mortars are available in packages of various sizes.

Fire Protection Acrylic Sealants

Fire Protection Acrylics expand when they are subjected to fire and close the openings around penetrations left by burnt away or melted communications.

Fire Protection Boards

Fire Protection Board is a fire-resistant board with a stone wool core and a specific fire-resistant coating for sealing service penetrations in fire rated walls and floors. Simple to install and it allows to retrofit additional building services after installation. Boards will also maintain the acoustic design performance in fire rated walls and floors.

Intumescent Graphite Sealants

Intumescent graphite sealants, also known as intumescent mastics, are designed to fire seal building services to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and gases. Graphite sealant expands when it is subjected to fire and closes openings around penetrations when any combustible or low temperature melting materials have burnt away. Intumescent graphite sealants can be used, for example, for large plastic pipes that cannot be sealed with fire rated acrylic sealants.

Fire Dampers

Fire Damper is used to fire proof ventilation ducts where they penetrate fire rated constructions such as fire compartments and fire walls, preventing the passage of fire and smoke both surrounding and inside the ventilation duct.

Fire Protection of Wall Boxes

Graphite Plate is a pre-formed graphite plate fitted in wall boxes. The material used in the plate reacts immediately to fire through the heat and fills up the box, preventing the spread of fire, smoke and gases through the apertures made for wall boxes and for the penetration of conduits and cables in flexible walls.

JOINT SEALS

In order to ensure the required fire resistance of fire separating walls and fire barriers, it is important to seal the joints in them to prevent the spread of high-temperature smoke and gases from fire .

Fire Protection Acrylic Sealants

Fire Protection Acrylics are intumescent materials which, thanks to good flexibility and adhesion, are also suitable for fire-resistant sealing of joints.

Fire Protection Silicone

Fire Protection Silicon is a high performance, fire-resistant sealant for fireproof sealing of joints for outdoor use.

Fire Resistant Mortars

Fire Resistant Mortars are designed to reinstate the fire resistance of fire rated walls and floors. Fire-resistant mortar is a very versatile and widely used fireproof material and it is also suitable for smoke- and fireproof sealing of joints. The mortar has a rapid curing time, but is easy to sand, drill or overpaint later.
